This private walking tour combines food and culture and is led by a well-respected culinary historian, cookbook author and culinary educator with a specialty in fine chocolate and other artisanal foods. On this NYC pizza tour, you’ll experience three different downtown neighborhoods as you sample delicious pizza from three different slice joints/sit-down pizzerias, rating them as you go. While you’re tasting you’ll also be learning about the history of pizza in NYC, the types of pizza offered in the city and what goes into making the finest pizza. You’ll be given a scoring sheet so that you can rate the pizza based on visual appeal, crust, sauce/topping and overall enjoyment.
